OpenEye announces the release of the February 2019 OpenEye Web Services (OWS) update v1.7.
Liberty Lake, WASH. – February 25, 2019 – OpenEye, a leading provider of cloud managed video surveillance solutions, announces the release of the February 2019 OpenEye Web Services (OWS) update v1.7. The latest update includes detailed mobile push notifications, enhanced clip sharing control, DMP XT panel support, and other updates to add functionality and increase ease of use.
OWS users can receive mobile push notifications that include a thumbnail image preview and links get more details or watch video starting at the time of the alert. Push notifications offer users faster visibility of alerts allowing them to use video to verify the incident and respond appropriately. The DMP alarm panel integration in OWS was updated to include DMP XT panels as well as giving users additional event types to monitor Intrusion Zone events.
For OWS users who are using our alarm panel integration for video verification, this update also includes new alert filtering options to prevent false positives by filtering motion, sensor, and analytics event alerts to send notifications only when the alarm panel is armed. We even have an alert to warn users if someone forgets to arm the panel.
The secure cloud clip sharing in OWS is enhanced in this update by giving users the option to set an expiration date to limit the time that video clips can be viewed or downloaded as well as a log to track the number of times that the clip has been viewed and downloaded by each individual.
OpenEye Web Services users can take a live demo tour of the new features in OWS 1.7 and see the complete list of all new features here: /ows
