OpenEye Web Services is an intelligent and aware cloud-managed video platform that lets you see the next opportunity to make your operations more secure, efficient, and profitable. Join Brian Tellez, OpenEye’s Senior Director of Software Engineering, as he walks through a demo showing what makes OWS so powerful, and how it can enhance your business.
Hi. I’m Brian. I lead the software engineering team here at OpenEye. OpenEye Web Services, or OWS, is an intelligent and intuitive cloud video solution built to secure and scale smart environments for your customers, employees, and students. Our platform provides actionable intelligence and improves operational efficiency so you can stay focused on what matters most. In this video, we will explore the many features offered through this powerful cloud video solution, which can be accessed remotely from anywhere at any time, whether through a web-based browser or desktop app or your mobile device. In OWS, you can view live video and search clips from multiple locations in one intuitive interface, allowing you to easily manage multiple sites. The devices associated with each location will be listed on the left-hand side. Camera specific thumbnails can help you easily find the video you’re looking for. The viewing grid can be changed to create the best layout for you and your team. Cameras can be dragged and dropped into the grid and removed easily. With powerful search tools in OWS, users can quickly find the events that matter most. Search based on various video analytic event types, such as person and vehicle, or locate the video related to events from integrated business systems, like access control, intrusion, alarms, point of sale, and more. OpenEye Web Services streamlines the export and sharing of video clips by moving the entire process to the cloud. This helps expedite investigations and improve collaboration between teams. Choose from different export and sharing options, such as including audio. Add notes to the shared clip to help provide context to the video. Video clips can be shared to OWS users and third parties, such as law enforcement or insurance agencies. Once shared, you have complete visibility into who has access and how often it’s been viewed or downloaded, making it easy to audit and manage shared video. Alerts keep you up to date on the most critical events by sending notifications to your phone, email, or desktop app. Alert rules can be designed to fit your organization’s needs, whether system health, location security, staff safety, or business operations. Define alert rules based on specific events, devices, or locations, even who received the alert and how. Take advantage of powerful edge or server-side analytics to get alerts on video events. Receive video verification of events from business systems, such as access control or environmental sensors, to respond quickly and reduce false alarms. Alert history makes your video more actionable by listing only the most critical events. Use active alerts to help your team appropriately and quickly act in a wide range of situations. User management in OWS allows you to apply flexible yet granular permissions to align with individual or team needs. Set up user and location groups to streamline management across large organizations and save time when onboarding new team members. User management is further simplified by having all changes instantly pushed across users and devices via the OWS cloud. Reports are designed to help with a variety of business functions, whether monitoring the health of your system or viewing crucial operational information. Use the system summary report to see the health of your security system, or audit devices through an inventory report. Leverage the thumbnail and day and night reports for a variety of security and operational needs. Share OWS reports across teams and locations for greater collaboration. We hope this demo showed you what a cloud-managed platform can do for your business. Whether finding the video you need quickly, receiving proactive alert notifications, or working collaboratively thanks to actionable business intelligence, OpenEye Web Services lets you see the next opportunity to secure and scale your business.
