OpenEye, the cloud video platform, is expanding its international presence in the United Kingdom, Australia and Latin America.

“International expansion is important to our future at OpenEye. Many markets are searching for a modern alternative to traditional video systems. We have deployments around the globe thanks to our large customer base, meaning we already have the technology solution in place to expand globally,” said Jesse Crawford, OpenEye’s Vice President of Global Sales “It’s so exciting to be adding team members in Australia, the UK and Colombia to kick off our international efforts.”

Neil Handley has joined OpenEye as UK Sales Director. He has 30 years of experience in the security industry, owning installation and consulting businesses, as well as managing sales for other cloud security providers.

“The cloud is on the cusp of being huge in the UK, and there is demand from end users who want to manage video in the cloud,” he says. “The market is crying out for OpenEye.”

He cites the ease of using OpenEye Web Services (OWS), centralized management of users and reports, remote access, system health monitoring and cost-effective licensing as features benefitting users. Third-party integrations, such as those that allow events to be sent to central stations or camera analytics also add value to the customer.

“My personal view is how simple it is. It’s fairly user intuitive, and it works.”

In addition to the UK, OpenEye is adding resources in the Asia-Pacific region.

“It is my pleasure to announce that there has been a growth in the Asia-Pacific team with the addition of two new team members,” said Angelo Salvatore, OpenEye’s Australia-based Vice President of International Business Development.

Enea La Mantia has joined OpenEye in Australia as Regional Sales Manager. With an educational background in business strategy and management. He will focus on developing new markets. La Mantia has worked in the security industry for 17 years in Italy and Australia.

“With a background in business strategy and management, he will bring extensive industry knowledge and experience to the region. Among his responsibilities will be to work with channel partners, consultants, distributors, and end users,” Salvatore said.

According to La Mantia, Cloud Managed video from OpenEye represents a major shift in the way we manage multisite or multi-customer video surveillance. By utilizing the latest in the cloud video platform, he believes it will redefine how we look at video surveillance in a post-COVID world.

Sathiya Maniam has joined the company as a sales engineer. Having a strong background in IT and cybersecurity, Maniam brings a fresh perspective to an industry constantly evolving to meet increased demands and address security threats.

Located in Melbourne, Australia, she will provide sales engineering services to distributors, consultants, channel partners and end users throughout the APAC region.
