OpenEye spread holiday cheer this month by donating gifts to schoolchildren in the Central Valley School District (CVSD) and Marine Toys for Tots. The company donated gifts to Spokane Valley, Washington-based CVSD as part of Common Good’s Gifts of Hope program.

“OpenEye believes in being responsible to our community. It’s one of our core values,” said Jim Durning, Director of Planning and Procurement. “With regard to partnering with Gifts of Hope, they work closely with Central Valley School District who has been a longtime partner with OpenEye. It’s important to support those in need during the holiday season, especially kids.”

Rennea and Daryl Kimmel, members of Spokane Valley’s Sun City Church, picked up the gifts and delivered them to the district.

“We’ve been so blessed with gifts,” said Rennea Kimmel. “It is great to be able to let parents come in and choose a gift for their kids and wrap them themselves.”

In addition to Gifts of Hope, OpenEye served as a drop-off location for Marine Toys for Tots. Employees and community members filled three tall boxes with new, unwrapped gifts to benefit needy children.
