Liberty Lake, WASH. – February 14, 2018 – OpenEye is releasing a new solution for users who wish to migrate existing analog installations to OpenEye Web Services (OWS) without incurring the labor or expense of upgrading their existing infrastructure to IP. A series of new OpenEye recorders and encoders will allow re-use of the existing coaxial cable and cameras in place at a customer site, drastically reducing the cost to move legacy installs to the OWS platform.

Upgrading existing analog infrastructure can be expensive and time consuming with cabling and labor doubling, or even tripling, the cost of installation and system downtime. With OpenEye ‘s new HD Analog solutions, users can easily retrofit existing deployments to connect them to OpenEye Web Services, allowing them to take advantage of powerful cloud-based features like centralized management, health monitoring, alert notifications, and online clip sharing.

OpenEye ‘s new HD Analog recorders support standard definition and 960H cameras as well as HD-TVI and IP cameras with no additional licensing required. “Updating legacy analog installations to HD video can be complex and costly,” said Ian Siemer, Vice President, Marketing and Product Management at OpenEye. “Our new solutions simplify the process, while reducing costs and leaving the door open to transition to IP over time.”

OpenEye will also be releasing a series of 1080P HD-TVI cameras compatible with its recorders and encoders. The new HD analog cameras allow users to easily upgrade existing equipment to megapixel video and include time-saving features like autofocus, motorized zoom, and remote setup. The new analog/IP hybrid line of recorders supports TVI, AHD, SD-Analog, and HD IP. The new HD analog encoder will be released in Q3 of 2018 and is compatible with all M-series recorders.
