OpenEye is excited to announce the release of the next generation MH & MK-Series Cloud-Managed Enterprise Servers.
OpenEye is excited to announce the release of the next generation MH & MK-Series Cloud-Managed Enterprise Servers. The Gen. 2 MH & MK are being updated with a new motherboard, newer generation Intel processors, and an M.2 SSD OS drive*. To streamline future storage upgrades, and simplify field service replacements, the Gen. 2 MH & MK-Series have been standardized on 16TB (JBOD) and 12TB (RAID) storage drives. Additionally, RAID 6 will become the new default storage array for Gen 2 OE-MHXR (RAID) servers, delivering increased redundancy and fault tolerance. A RAID 5 conversion part number is available to users who wish to still purchase OE-MHXR recorders in the less fault tolerant RAID 5 configuration. The OE-MK Gen.2, RAID and JBOD versions, will be upgraded to 16GB of RAM standard to support increased server side analytics processing capabilities, in preparation for OpenEye’s native analytics features releasing later this year.
The generation update to MK and MH recorders has resulted in the discontinuation of some storage model options and the creation of many new model options, including new higher maximum storage configurations. The OpenEye System Design Tool includes all newly updated models to assist in performing storage calculations. Reference the table below for discontinued models and recommended replacements; new model options can be located in your latest OpenEye pricelist.
