Liberty Lake, WASH. – March 9, 2018 – OpenEye has released the next generation replacement of its highly successful ReportStar health monitoring services. Existing ReportStar users can now easily switch any system running OpenEye ‘s new Apex VMS software to OpenEye Web Services (OWS) Alerts and Reports. OWS maintains the same alerts and reports as ReportStar as well as adding new more advanced options with increased flexibility and functionality to meet the unique needs of users.

Alerts in OWS include additional information and details like thumbnail video images and recorder information with the option to connect to the recorder to instantly view live or recorded video, allowing users to quickly respond. Also new in OWS Reports are easy to read real-time dashboards giving users live, up-to-date information about the health of their systems at a glance. The new Alerts and Reports functions take advantage of the OWS user management and permissions settings allowing administrators to use custom user and recorder groups to simplify management.

OpenEye Web Services offers seamless integration with OpenEye devices to simplify operations and management by moving these functions to the cloud. Combining the performance and reliability of local recording with the convenience and flexibility of the cloud, OWS saves time and provides an easier, more secure surveillance solution.
