OpenEye Adds Entra ID Integration With OWS

OpenEye has added support for Entra ID, formerly referred to as Azure ID, to allow customers to integrate OpenEye Web Services into their existing identity management solution. This addition to the OpenEye ecosystem lets you streamline user management and enhance your cybersecurity by ensuring user access policies and rules are applied consistently across your organization, including your video surveillance system.

The Entra ID integration allows users to log in to their OWS account using their Microsoft credentials from any OpenEye Web Services client including the OpenEye mobile app. Account managers can also access the OpenEye Web Services user management through the Entra ID platform to add or remove new users and to manage user permissions including group permissions, simplifying onboarding and offboarding.

The goal of identity management is to ensure that only authenticated users are granted access to the applications, systems or IT environments for which they are authorized. Ensuring that the same user access policies and rules are applied consistently across an organization, including video surveillance systems, adds an additional layer of protection. Entra ID identity management integrated with OpenEye Web Services provides a secure single sign-on solution that allows user management and user group provisioning from the Entra ID interface.
