OpenEye Not Affected by CloudBleed Data Leak
February 24, 2017
This week a new Internet vulnerability named Cloudbleed was identified that affects websites and services that use Cloudfare, an Internet performance and security provider. Cloudfare announced on February 23rd that user data, including passwords, have potentially been compromised. OpenEye does not use Cloudfare services and is not directly affected by this vulnerability.

Please note that some 3rd party password management services may have been affected by Cloudbleed. If you use a password management service to store your OWS account credentials we suggest changing your password and enabling 2-Step Verification as a precautionary measure. The 2-Step Verification process will prevent unauthorized system access in the event your login credentials are compromised.

To enable 2-Step Verification: log into your OWS account → select User Group settings → select the appropriate User Group → select 2-Step Verification → select “Enable 2-Step Verification.”
