OpenEye Apex Recorders to Move to Windows 10

Liberty Lake, WASH. - May 23, 2018 - OpenEye, a leading provider of cloud managed video surveillance solutions, announces the switch to Windows 10 Embedded on new purchases of Apex recorders beginning July 1, 2018. This change will also apply to any Linux to Windows OS upgrades purchased after this date. OpenEye Apex systems currently ship with Windows 7 Embedded.

The move to Windows 10 also includes a Windows Server Update Services option. The Windows Update Service will be managed by OpenEye with updates tested for compatibility with Apex in advance and released on a predefined schedule. The update services will be disabled by default with an option to enable the service.

An upgrade option from Windows 7 to Windows 10 will be available for users who wish to upgrade existing systems in the field.
