Liberty Lake, WASH. - March 20, 2018 - OpenEye will release their new hybrid network video recorder next month at the ISC West tradeshow for users who want to migrate existing analog installations to OpenEye Web Services (OWS) without the labor or expense of upgrading their existing infrastructure to IP. The new OpenEye MA-Series Hybrid NVR allows users to use the existing coaxial cable and cameras in place at a customer site, drastically reducing the cost to move legacy installs to the OWS platform and adding the ability to add IP cameras over time.
The MA-Series recorders are available in 8 and 16-channel models and support HD-TVI, AHD, Standard Definition Analog, and High Definition IP cameras with no additional licensing required. The rack-mountable 1U chassis supports up to 20TB of internal storage and comes standard with a solid state hard drive for the operating system to improve reliability.
Upgrading existing analog infrastructure can be expensive and time-consuming with cabling and labor doubling, or even tripling, the cost of installation and system downtime. "The MA-Series recorder gives users an affordable path to retrofit an existing analog installation so that they can start adding High Definition cameras and connect to OpenEye Web Services," said Ian Siemer, Vice President, Marketing and Product Management at OpenEye, "allowing them to take advantage of powerful cloud-based features like centralized management, health monitoring, alert notifications, and online clip sharing."
OpenEye will also release a series of HD Analog 2MP Outdoor Mini Dome Cameras, designed to work with the MA-Series recorder, that use TVI technology to transmit HD video over standard analog coax cables.
