Social Responsibility

As OpenEye has grown, so has our involvement in the community. OpenEye prides itself in making significant contributions, both financial and hands-on, to a variety of charitable organizations. OpenEye demonstrates this commitment by providing paid work days each year to redirect our employee's efforts toward community service and continual improvement projects. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support of this policy. Here are a few of the programs and charities we actively support.

2nd Harvest Food Bank

Second Harvest brings community resources together to feed people in need through empowerment, education and partnerships. They strive in fighting hunger and feeding hope. OpenEye employees partner with 2nd Harvest to donate money as well as time volunteering at the facility to sort food or other tasks as needed.

Build a Bike Program

Each year, OpenEye takes the time to give back to our local school district in a unique way. Our employees get the opportunity to pair up with over 100 specially-selected students for an OpenEye facility tour, technology demonstration, and then build a bike together that the student gets to keep and take home. This program promotes the importance of education, fitness, and giving back to the community all while spreading holiday cheer!

Blood Drive

Vitalant is a non-profit organization and exists to help people realize their life-transforming potential by offering convenient blood donation opportunities. OpenEye employees realize that donating blood is one of the most precious gifts, it is the gift of life. Every year our employees register and donate during our blood drive to help our community and help save a life.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call their home. Several times a year OpenEye employees take the time to provide hands-on assistance to Habitat for Humanity in lieu of a regular work day. This allows employees to give back and make a difference within our community.

Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Charities is a non-profit organization that believes in supporting families around the work and helping them access the medical care and resources they need. OpenEye regularly contributes to the organization by volunteering to provide meals, maintenance work, video surveillance equipment and expertise, and any other needed services to help support the Ronald McDonald House in the Spokane area.

Spokane Centennial Trail

The Centennial Trail is a 37-mile paved trail in Eastern Washington that provides alternate transportation and recreational use facilities for the community. OpenEye employees are proud of the Inland Northwest and help maintain our adopted one-mile section of the Spokane Centennial Trail.
