November 15, 2007

OpenEye, Inc. announced a new addition to its Optix line of cameras with the release of the Optix 150 three-inch fixed dome camera. The 150 Series camera includes a varifocal lens providing users with either a telephoto or wide angle viewing option. The telephoto option allows users to view increased detail of distant objects while the wide angle option offers an increased viewing area over traditional cameras without distortion.

"We are very excited about this new addition to our camera line,” says OpenEye Optix Product Manager Eric Moss. "It provides an affordable fixed dome solution for our customers while offering features usually only found in more expensive camera models."

All 150 Series cameras feature a patented quick installation mount and gimbal flexibility for near 360° positioning. The Optix 150 cameras feature auto white balancing, backlight compensation, and record at up to 480 lines of resolution in standard lighting conditions.
