Liberty Lake, WASH. – July 20, 2010 OpenEye has announced the beta release of its ReportStar online security portal. Designed to give users peace of mind in knowing their surveillance systems are functioning properly, ReportStar monitors the health and status of video surveillance systems providing feedback on their status both online and through instant notifications.
ReportStar offers users easy online access to a personalized web portal with information on all their connected OpenEye recorders. Users can schedule e-mail messages to be sent daily, weekly or monthly with an overview of the recorders’ operation and enable alerts, via e-mail or SMS, of critical events which may affect the performance of the system. The online ReportStar portal includes a detailed alert history for each recorder and summary reports for the entire system including images for verifying camera operation and positioning. Using the web portal, it is easy to select the types of events or alerts to include in e-mail or SMS notification and create limited access accounts for employees that give them “view only” access.
“Users will never have to worry about the reliability of their surveillance system again,” says Edward Solt Executive Vice President of Sales for OpenEye, “with ReportStar the answer is only a click or e-mail away. ReportStar provides the tools users need to understand and maintain their surveillance system better.”
ReportStar will remain in Beta through Q3 2010 and be made available to the public exclusively through OpenEye’s extensive network of certified dealers and integrators by the end of 2010.
