July 10, 2007,
Spokane WA - OpenEye, Inc. announced a new addition to its 200 Series of Optix cameras with the release of the Optix 209 high resolution indoor fixed dome camera. The 209 camera builds on the strengths of the standard Hi-Res 200 series dome by adding a 9-22mm lens providing users with either a telephoto or wide angle viewing option. The telephoto options allows users to view increased detail of distant objects while the wide angle option offers an increased viewing area over traditional cameras without distortion.
All 200 Series cameras feature a patented quick installation mount and gimbal flexibility for near 360° positioning. The Optix 209 high-resolution camera is capable of recording up to 540 lines of resolution in standard lighting conditions and 560 in low light. High-resolution 200 Series cameras utilize the latest Sony CCD technology, offering improved image quality for critical monitoring applications.
