Spokane WA - OpenEye today introduced its new line of Network Video Recording systems, which support mega-pixel cameras and large storage capacities. The PC based NVR recorders, which are available in both 8 and 16 channel models, are the latest additions to the X and Xr series digital recorders from OpenEye.
The new NVR systems are fully integrated with OpenEye’s current line of network video encoders and most major network camera manufacturers including Toshiba, Sony, Axis, DLink and Arecont.
NVRs are a network video only solution and are capable of recording video from devices over a network or the Internet at resolutions up to and exceeding 3 mega-pixels. For users requiring both network and analog video recording a hybrid upgrade is already available for X-Series and Xr-Series analog PC DVRs.
NVR systems are built with premium hard drives that are designed specifically to withstand the wear and tear of high volume usage and can be configured with storage capacities up to 2.5 TB. To ensure long term reliability, the X and Xr-chassis used for NVRs have been carefully designed to accommodate the heat generated by these large drive arrays and the strains of a 24 hour a day runtime environment.
OpenEye NVR systems utilize the same server software interface as the standard analog models and are fully compatible with all software upgrades and support applications including IQ-Series video analytics, RediWatch (point of sale integration), Access Control solutions, standard and Radius multi-site remote software, Emergency Agent (alarm notification software), and MDVR (remote mobile device software).
