Spokane WA - OpenEye, Inc. announced today the release of its new line of E-Series embedded digital video recorders (DVR). Based on the Linux operating system and housed in a 2U rack mountable chassis, E-Series DVRs are compatible with OpenEye’s Radius and remote software applications.
“The new E-Series DVR is an excellent solution for those who don’t require the advanced features of a PC based system like video analytics, point of sale support, or advanced searches." says Tim Bybee, head of Product Development.
E-Series DVRs come with 16 camera inputs/looping outputs, 16 sensors inputs, 4 relay outputs, 1 audio input, storage capacities up to 1TB, and record at 120 images per second. All units are firmware upgradeable, use MPEG-4 compression and ship with a 2 year warranty including 1 year of advance replacement.
The E-Series DVRs are segmented as OpenEye’s cost effective digital video recording solution. The use of digital recorders provides numerous benefits over older analog technologies including faster searches, increased recording capacities, and integrated motion/alarm based recording recording.
