OpenEye Releases New 200 Series Line of Optix Cameras

Feb 12, 2007, Spokane WA - OpenEye, Inc. announced a new addition to its Optix family of cameras with the release of the 200 Series indoor fixed dome cameras. Available in two models, wide dynamic range or high resolution, the new 200 Series cameras feature a patented quick installation mount and gimbal flexibility for near 360° positioning.

The 200 Series wide dynamic range model utilizes advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology to improve recording of scenes with high contrast lighting. DSP technology works by taking multiple samples per picture of each pixel and applying a formula to select the best pixel samples to create the clearest image possible. The use of 200 Series wide dynamic range cameras for recording in settings such as direct sunlight will produce an image superior to that of a standard non DSP equipped camera.

Also available in the 200 Series is the high resolution model. Capable of recording up to 540 lines of resolution in standard lighting conditions and 560 in low light, 200 Series high resolution cameras offer improved image quality for critical monitoring applications.
