DVDRWs now standard equipment in all OpenEye Digital Recorders
October 12, 2006, Spokane WA - OpenEye, Inc. announced today the inclusion of DVDRW drives as standard equipment in all digital recorder units produced after October 1, 2006.

“OpenEye’s transition to including DVDRW drives allows users to backup considerably larger volumes of data then previously possible with CDRs,” says Brent Gable, VP of Sales. “This hardware addition is in response to digital video advances in the tech and security sectors, resulting in larger image file sizes due to the increased resolutions and PPS of analog/digital cameras.”

The inclusion of DVDRW drives as standard equipment follows the recent upgrade of standard base storage capacities in OpenEye’s digital recorders from 120GB to 250GB and the addition of 500GB drive options; increasing internal storage capacity potential to 2TB.
