August 20, 2005, Spokane WA -
OpenEye Inc., announced today that it has begun production on a new PTZ dome
camera line. The new product line will be known as the OpenEye Optix.
The first two Optix models to be released will be
day/night, pan tilt zoom cameras featuring a full 23X and 25X optical zoom
capability. They are designed for use as both indoor and outdoor cameras and
contain numerous features found only in more expensive models. “We chose to
manufacture cameras that are on par with the more feature rich cameras in
the market as we feel they would better compliment our digital and network
video recording systems. We have also gone to great lengths to create what
we believe is the tightest recording system – dome camera feature
integration available in the industry today,” said Brent Gable, OpenEye’s
sales manager.
The cameras have a wide range of installation
accessories available to it. These include items such as flush mounts,
indoor/outdoor housings with heater and blowers, wall brackets, corner mount
adapters, and more. “Virtually all accessories needed to install these
cameras in any indoor/outdoor application will be available from OpenEye,”
said Mike Bronson, OpenEye’s product development manager.
Availability of the Optix product line is scheduled
for September 10, 2005.
