October 5, 2004,
Spokane WA - OpenEye, Inc. announced today a
product integration partnership with Keyscan Inc. of Pickering, Canada. The
product integration efforts will result in OpenEye’s line of digital video
recording products delivering live and recorded video to Keyscan’s System V
software access control suite. Keyscan access control users will be capable
of retrieving video through the same graphical user interface they have
become accustomed to. Previously such video could be accessed only through
OpenEye’s digital video management software.
“We are excited to have one of the worlds finest access control manufactures
as an integration partner, “ said Tim Bybee, OpenEye’s VP of Marketing. "Our
joint development efforts can greatly enhance the overall safety and
security for most companies."
An access control system is an inter-connected group of components that work
to regulate and monitor building access by electronically controlling doors
and elevators. Generally, an access control system consists of readers,
mounted beside doors or inside elevator cars, which are connected to access
control units that, in turn, are connected to a computer with the access
control software and database.
The integrated software platform is scheduled for release in October.
