Spokane WA - OpenEye, Inc. announced today
plans to convert approximately 3000 square feet of existing warehouse space
at its headquarters in Spokane, Washington into a new engineering and
technical support center. Upon completion of construction the center will be
used primarily by eight technical support representatives and four members
of the engineering support team. The new center will also be outfitted with
state of the art equipment to create one of the finest digital video
recording labs in the United States.
“The expanded lab space and new equipment will definitely enable us to
better support our customers and partners. It will also reduce our average
turnaround time by increasing the number of projects which can be handled
simultaneously,” said John Okert, one of OpenEye’s senior engineers.
OpenEye also entered into an agreement to lease nearly 10,000 square feet of
additional warehouse space adjacent to its current location on South Pine.
“The additional warehouse space is intended to offset the square footage
lost by the construction of the engineering center. More importantly, the
net gain of 7000 square feet will be critical in supporting the continued
growth of our business,” said Alan Aldous, OpenEye’s Chief Financial
Officer.
American Design & Construction of Spokane, Washington has been selected to
complete the project, which is targeted to conclude at the end of October.
