OpenEye to Change/Increase Storage Structure
with release of Version 2.0
  July 23, 2003, Spokane WA - OpenEye Inc., manufacturer of the OpenEye digital security line among other OEM PC-based products, revealed that it will change the storage structure of the HDDR product line with the release of Version 2.0. With this change, PC Open virtually doubles it capacity of internal storage. The HDDR x240 series will possess the capability to internally store up to 1.8TB of recorded data. PC Open said that they will continue to offer the 120GB model; however the storage tiers that follow the base drive are changing to 250GB, 500GB, 750GB, 1.0TB, 1.25TB, 1.5TB and 1.8TB storage tiers. According to Jon Swatzell, PC Open’s Chief Information Officer, “We believe this change is necessary to stay on top of the ever-changing technology market, and to continue to provide our customers with the best storage capabilities there is to offer in the DVR marketplace.”
